I am a second-year PhD student in the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology curriculum at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My areas of study include bioinformatics, cancer genomics, machine learning, and data mining. Being advised by Dr. Joel Parker, I am currently working on identifying human germline associations with cancer subtypes in order to better understand tumor developement and resulting phenotypes. This will allow us to better guide future treatment options.
My interests also include applications of virtual reality for immersive data analysis and scientific visualization with my spare time being spent working on various VR projects.
