I am a first-year PhD student in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences PhD Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill intent on joining the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology cirriculum. My areas of study include bioinformatics, genetics, data mining, and visualization. I recently worked as a bioinformatics technician in the McKay Lab at UNC-CH, developing analysis pipelines and discovering novel applications for the chromatin accessibility assay, ATAC-seq.

My interests also include applications of virtual reality for immersive data analysis and scientific visualization with my spare time being spent working on various VR projects.
